Aganovich was founded in 2015 by the Serbian designer Nana Aganovich and her partner Brooke Taylor and is now based in Paris. The brand was originally from London as Nana Aganovich graduated at the renowned Central Saint Martin’s School of Art and Design. Before she teamed up with Brooke Tayler, Nana had another partner Ahlaiya Yung and the brand was originally called Aganovich and Yung.
Aganovich’s autumn (fall) / winter 2016 was presented during Paris Fashion Week. Once again, the collection was narrative with a strong gothic influence. We can imagine it could tell about some mid 14th century Transilvanian legends. Each piece of the collection is or black or white giving a strong contrasting effect. The collection features very sophisticated white shirts, long dresses or cape tops and stunning outwear. All the body is covered by velvet, leather, silk and the designers plays with exaggerated proportions, bonded fabrics and asymmetric silhouettes.
