Following in the tradition of Parisian-inflected Japanese fashion, designer Masanori Morikawa launched the Christian Dada line in 2010 under the heavy influence of dadaism. The designer is known for his nonconformist silhouettes and punk rock attitudes.
Based in Tokyo, this emerging line for both men and women is characterized by couture-like treatments - quilting, embroidery, luxe fabrics, knits, brocade, velvet and quality outerwear. Recent collections have been imbued with a dark sensibility and avant-garde goth elements.
