Last April 2014, the jury of the Festival International de Mode et de Photographie à Hyères, presided over by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon (creative directors of Kenzo), rewarded the winner of the Première Vision grand Jury Prize, Kenta Matsushige, a young Japonese designer.
Thanks to a partnership between Villa Noailles festival and Petit Bateau, the winner of the Grand Prix du Jurry Première Vision is granted "carte blanche" to reinvent the brand's iconic pieces, while perpetuating its traditional know-how.
Kenta Matsushige has chosen to revisit Petit Bateau tee-shirt and the sailor-shirt in a clean, subdued, architectural style. The creations are simple and sophisticated.
