PORTS was founded in 1961, by Luke Tanabe, a Canadian entrepreneur. The company began as a business that imported silk from Japan, but gradually evolved to become an upscale woman and menwear’s designer label with a reputation of focusing on craft and having an exuberant youth spirit. Nowadays the name of the brand is Ports 1961 and Natasa Cagalj is the designer in charge of the woman's line. She studied in Central Saint Martins MA program and gained experience working in the creative direction of Cerruti, Lanvin and Stella McCartney.
For the Pre-fall 2017 collection, Ports 1961 women pays homage to floras and home interiors. The designer plays with oversized proportions, layers and volumes.
