Rebecca Taylor was born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand. The designer founded in 1996 an eponym brand, designed for creative and dynamic women. Her great-aunt, who was a print designer during the Sixties and Seventies, has influenced her. Known for her feminine finish and polished point of view, Rebecca Taylor creates modern pieces with a subtly romantic edge.
Prints have always been central to Rebecca Taylor’s work, but they were especially present for this season Fall 2016 Ready-to-wear. We could find vintage floral patterns on classic silk blouses, Victorian shirts, velvet long and east-European inspired dresses and lace black dresses. Emerald, lilac, black and cream shades are also present to give a retro side. This latest collection is also completed by ageless pieces like leather jackets and plaid bombers, patchwork jeans and a few tomboyish pieces.
