In an era of ultra young models and androgyny, Givenchy is in a more mature, muscular and masculine mood. Ricardo Tisci obviously prefers to dress up the imposing and well-built, the majestic and caracteristic man. That's because true beauty is universal, it bears no type, no race nor gender.
The new Givenchy collection is a tribute to Hawai and surf. Named "Oiseau de Paradis" (Paradise bird), it is the happy declension of a geometric print that reminds us of both a tropical garden and a gigantic insect. Having distanced himself from his usual shiny gotism, Tisci lays before us a collection of bright colours, radiant outfits which make the Tisci man look like an adventurer.
We loved it...Very much so!
